Monophone AE round base; bakelite. Western and Northern Electric made phones for the Bell system exclusively, others like Automatic Electric provided phones to the independents. The independents were always in styling contests with Western Electric. The round based Monophone is easily more elegant than the Western 202 counter part. Note the graceful banded handset. Rings.

This phone has been completely restored. All bakelite has been polished to a like new shine. Metal parts are cleaned, polished, and painted as required. The internal wiring has been completely replaced. The phone comes with a 6 ft. modular cord and is ready to become part of your home phone system.
